Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our float pool in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Telemetry setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate assigned patients and develop nursing care plans.
- Implement and document nursing care in accordance with established protocols.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Conduct various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice.
- Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families about their conditions and medications.
- Handle cardiac drips and monitor patients with advanced cardiac devices.
- Maintain open communication with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a PCU or telemetry setting.
- Experience with Cerner EMR system is required.
- Familiarity with cardiac drips and advanced cardiac interventions such as TAVRs and Watchman mitral clips.
- Associate's degree in nursing; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
Working Conditions
- Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, working 3 out of 12 scheduled hours per shift.
- Must be flexible and willing to float between multiple facilities and departments as needed.
- Work schedule to include six weekend shifts over six weeks.
