Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a float pool position focused on Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Telemetry. The successful candidate will be required to float between multiple facilities within the region.

Position Details

• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Shift: Day Shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, working three 12-hour shifts weekly
• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
• Patient to Nurse Ratio: 6:1

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) in this role will be responsible for:

• Evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and documenting nursing care plans.
• Assisting physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Performing various patient tests and administering medications within the scope of practice.
• Promoting patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families about their conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Utilizing experience and judgment to achieve patient care goals effectively.
• Performing a variety of nursing tasks, requiring creativity and independent judgment.

Qualifications

• Current Arizona nursing license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in PCU or Telemetry.
• Familiarity with managing cardiac drips and procedures such as TAVRs and Watchman mitral clips.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically Cerner.
• Associate's degree in nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Scrubs can be of any color.

Additional Information

This position requires flexibility to float between departments and multiple facilities within the region. Candidates should be comfortable adapting to different environments and teams.
