Travel Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (RN-ED)

Unit Information

Location: Pasadena, TX

Number of Beds: 30

Staffing:

• 49 FTE, 6 PRN, 2 Leadership
• Day Shift: 1 CNC, RNs (based on volume forecast 7-10), 2 PCT/EMT, 1 US
• Night Shift: 1 CNC, RNs (based on volume forecast 7-10), 1 PCT/EMT, 1 US

Patient Ratios: 1:5 at most (acuity dependent)

Equipment: Advanced monitors, defibrillators, ultrasound, EKG machines

EMR System: Meditech, transitioning to Expanse on 8/13/26

Job Responsibilities

This role entails providing high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department, demonstrating advanced critical thinking and expertise in trauma, STEMI, Stroke, and Sepsis management.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Advanced critical thinking and skills
• Extensive experience with trauma, STEMI, Stroke, and Sepsis

Preferred Skills:

• Adult and pediatric ED experience
• Completed certifications as aligned with nursing standards

Typical Procedures:

• Thoracotomy
• Arterial lines and MTP

Personality Fit:

• Flexible, accountable, responsible, and a great team player

Certifications

• ENPC
• TNCC
• ACLS
• PALS
• BLS
• CPI with TIC
• (NRP and STABLE certifications are a plus)

Work Schedule

Flexible scheduling with alternate weekends required.

Dress Code

Royal Blue scrubs and adherence to Dress Code Policy is expected.

Floating Requirements

Potential floating to two free-standing ED locations as needed.
