Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in both Obstetrics (OB) and Medical-Surgical (Medsurg) nursing. This position will primarily support our OB unit, but the RN will also be required to assist with Medsurg as needed. The ideal candidate should be adaptable and prepared to work in a smaller rural facility.

Shift Details

The RN will work the night shift from 1745 to 0600. The patient care ratios are as follows:

• 1:1 patient ratio for OB
• 1:3 patient ratio for Medsurg (average)

Responsibilities

The RN will be expected to:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to OB and Medsurg patients.
• Utilize CPSI/Perigen charting software for patient documentation.
• Occasionally take charge of the unit, as needed.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must possess the following:

• Current BLS, ACLS, Fetal Heart Certification, and NRP certifications (all must be via AHA).
• Must hold a Kansas or Multistate nursing license at the time of application.
• Previous experience in a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) setting is required.
• Local travelers are welcome and will be accepted at the same rate as other candidates.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.

Additional Information

Influenza vaccination is strongly preferred; however, religious and medical exemptions will be accepted, with the understanding that declined vaccinations will require wearing a mask during flu season. All interested candidates are encouraged to apply if they meet the above criteria.
