Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ideal candidate will be comfortable floating between the ICU and Stepdown units, demonstrating the ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU.
- Assist in the management of patients requiring complex medical interventions.
- Float to Stepdown units as needed, ensuring continuity of care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to formulate and implement treatment plans.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform advanced nursing procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of ICU nursing experience; strong candidates with 2 years will be considered.
- Active RN license in New Hampshire or Compact License.
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred; other EMR experience will be considered.
- Competent in the use of advanced medical equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, and ICP monitoring.
- Willingness to float to other units including ED, Stepdown, and Med/Surg with modified assignments.
Working Conditions
This position offers a 36-hour guarantee per week, with shifts scheduled from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays and every other weekend.
Additional training will be provided for those floating to the Behavioral Health Annex.
