Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. This role requires advanced clinical expertise and the ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in high-acuity settings.

Unit Information

• Unit: ICU
• Beds: 42 beds (East 20, West 22), with additional specialized units for Neuro/Med, CTICU, and Surg/Trauma.
• Common Patient Diagnoses:
  • Neuro/Med: Strokes, Sepsis, Altered Mental Status, Neuro Interventions, Respiratory Failure, Congestive Heart Failure, Post-STEMI.
  • CTICU: Cardiovascular Surgery, Cardiogenic Shock, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Surgery.
  • Surg/Trauma: Trauma cases, Major post-operative surgical care.
• Specialty Equipment: Intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Ventriculostomy, Intracranial Pressure (ICP) monitoring, Targeted Temperature Management (Artic Sun).
• Floating Requirements: Nurses may be required to float to all units except Behavioral Health and Emergency Room as needed.

Shift Information

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM. Please note that block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an intensive care setting (ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU) required; 4-5 years preferred.
• Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and Prismaflex is required.
• Heart-related experience is highly preferred.
• Current certification in AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Valid nursing license in New York with all active RN licenses verified through NURSYS.
• Strong EMR experience required, particularly with EPIC.
