Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical / Surgical unit specializing in high acuity cases, including trauma and surgical patients. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population, including those with surgical needs and trauma-related injuries.
- Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5:1 while collaborating with nursing support techs.
- Assist in handoff communications with Emergency Department nurses and admitting units to ensure continuity of care.
- Perform phlebotomy and other essential nursing duties as required.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical or trauma nursing specialty.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems, specifically EPIC.
- Must be flexible in scheduling as block schedules are not available; willingness to work various shifts is essential.
- No requests for time off will be accepted during the scheduling process.

This position is located in a high-acuity medical environment in City, State.
