Description
Unit Information
The position is for an Operating Room (OR) unit with 13 operating rooms and a comprehensive team of over 81 full-time equivalents (FTEs). The unit is designed for trauma care and is staffed 24 hours a day.
General Role Information
- Location: Salt Lake City, UT
- Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience with da Vinci Robotics.
- Two years of nursing experience in an operating room setting.
Preferred Skills
While not required, candidates with the following experience will be given preference:
- Vascular experience.
Typical Procedures
The OR unit performs a wide array of surgical procedures, excluding the following:
- Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs)
- Transplants
- Pediatrics under 14 years of age
Personality Fit
Ideal candidates should exhibit flexibility in their work approach to meet the demands of the unit.
Weekend and On-Call Requirements
Candidates should be prepared to take 3 to 6 call shifts per month as required by the unit's needs.
