Description
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our dynamic Operating Room (OR) team. The RNFA will play a pivotal role in surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient care and support during operations.
Shift Details
- Shift Type: Day Shift
- Shift Length: 8 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: One weekend of call per month
- Call Requirement: One call night per week
- Response Time for Call: 30 minutes
Operating Room Details
- Unit: Operating Room
- Number of OR Suites: 7
- Number of Cases per Day: 15-20
Certifications and Qualifications
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years in OR settings
- Travel Experience: Preferred but not required
Technical and Operational Details
- Electronic Medical Records: Cerner Surginet
- Common Types of Cases: High volume of orthopedic surgeries (including total joints), general, gynecological, pediatric, and ophthalmic cases. Cardiac cases are not assigned to traveling staff.
- Scrubbing: Recommended for RN's but not mandatory
Facility Support Services
- RT Availability: 24/7
- Pharmacy Availability: Not 24/7; after-hours support from Marian post 10 PM
- IV Team: Not available

- Scrub Color: Scrubs provided
- Holidays: Work on holidays required only in emergencies
- Orientation: Floor-specific orientation based on skillset
