The Registered Nurse is accountable for providing comprehensive care to patients in the Emergency Room using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. This role involves critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in planning and delivering safe patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Demonstrate leadership by anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and professional development.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel in delivering patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Active nursing license in the state of Arizona.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Must be willing to float as needed based on unit and patient care needs.

Facility Information

• Trauma Level III certified.
• Stroke receiving facility.
• STEMI receiving facility.
• Number of beds: 38.
