Unit Information
Location: Houston, TX
Number of Beds: 9
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 CNC, 2 RNs (11am - 11pm)
- Night Shift: 1 CNC, 2 RNs (3pm - 3am)
Patient Ratios: 4:1
Type of Equipment: Lifepack 15, C1 vent, Lucas, POC lab equipment
EMR: Meditech Expanse
Responsibilities
The Travel Registered Nurse will be expected to:
- Perform typical procedures including EKG, PIV placement, ventilator management, BiPap, and POC labs (Picolo, EPOC, Triage Meter).
- Ensure flexibility and adaptability while collaborating with various personalities and team members.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a medium to high volume emergency room is required.
Required Certifications:
- ACLS
- PALS
- CPR
- TNCC
Preferred Qualifications:
- CEN certification is preferred.
Work Schedule
Every other weekend off - must work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period.
