Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a temporary contract. This role requires prior experience in labor and delivery, recovery, and postpartum care. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients during their hospital stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established nursing standards.
• Assist in labor and delivery procedures and provide postpartum support.
• Monitor patients' progress and report any changes to healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
• Educate patients and families on post-delivery care and newborn care.
• Participate in the orientation process during the first week of placement.

Schedule Details

This position involves 12-hour night shifts, with a requirement to work every other weekend. Additional holiday availability may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Current IL RN license.
• BLS and NRP certifications are mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in labor and delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
• Experience in nursery and baby nursing (catcher) is preferred but not required.
• New graduates are not accepted for this position.

Additional Information

This role is a backfill position for a temporary assignment lasting 6 weeks. All necessary credentials are to be submitted by the Thursday prior to the start date.
