Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical Float Pool. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and be comfortable floating between various medical and surgical units, including surgical oncology.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in medical and surgical settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
- Document patient care activities in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, Epic.
- Participate in patient and family education regarding health conditions and care plans.
- Float between medical floor and surgical/oncology units as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing.
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Ability to adapt to various clinical settings and patient needs.
Additional Information
This position requires a willingness to float to different units within medical and surgical departments. The nurse-to-patient ratio will typically range from 1:5 to 1:6, ensuring manageable workloads.
Location: Opportunities available within multiple locations in the region.
