Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in catheterization procedures and be committed to providing high-quality patient care.

Position Details

• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Shift Length: 10 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years in a Cath Lab setting
• EMR/Equipment: Cerner
• Average Cases per Day: 8 cases
• Number of Suites: 2 beds

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Dyslexia Exam: Completion of the Dyslexia Exam through Relias is required prior to contract signing, with specific passing criteria.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab is required.

Shift Notes

The position requires a Monday to Friday schedule with 10-hour shifts from 0700 to 1700. There will be a call requirement with a response time of 30 minutes. Call responsibilities include minimally every other weekend from Friday 1530 to Monday 0700.

• Charge Nurse: Yes
• Cath Lab/IR Techs: Available
• Weekend Requirement: On-call required for weekends and holidays with a rotated schedule.
• Floating: No
• Orientation: Floor-specific orientation will be provided, typically lasting 1 or 2 shifts depending on skill level.

Common Procedures

The Cath Lab handles all cardiac invasive procedures, excluding structural heart work. Peripheral procedures include carotid interventions, AV grafts, EVAR, and diagnostic peripheral interventions.
