Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. This position involves providing comprehensive care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work night shifts with rotating weekends, bringing their expertise to the emergency care process.

Unit Information

• Location: Austin, TX
• Number of Beds: 32+
• Number of Staff: 117
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Type of Equipment: Meditech EMR

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for:

• Providing high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Performing a range of procedures including lumbar punctures (LP), intubations, and trauma care.
• Assisting with laceration repairs, suture removals, and splinting.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to anticipate and meet patient needs.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following qualifications:

• Current certifications: TNCC, ENPC, ACLS, and BLS (must be obtained by start date).
• Preferred experience: Greater than 2 years in a similar role.
