Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intermediate Care unit. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the specialty and offers a unique opportunity to work with diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to intermediate medical patients.
- Monitor and assess patients on respiratory support, including RA, BIPAP, and Optiflow.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Care for patients undergoing cardiac thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and head/neck surgery.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Intermediate Care or related specialty.
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Preferred experience with NIHSS and a variety of patient populations.
Schedule and Holiday Requirements
This position requires working night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM with a variable schedule. Employees must also commit to working 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).
