Staffing Details

• Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 9 RNs/LPNs, 3 PCTs (Full staffing)
• Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs/LPNs, 3 PCTs (Full staffing)
• Patient Ratios: 4 to 5 patients per nurse

Equipment and Technology

• Pyxis
• Alaris pumps
• Welch Allen Vitals machines
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech

Job Responsibilities

As a Cardiac Telemetry Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with cardiac conditions. Typical responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Administering medications and intravenous therapies
• Performing assessments and identifying patient needs
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop care plans

Qualifications

Required Skills: Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• ACLS certification
• Experience recovering post-cath patients (no sheath removal)
• Experience with pacemaker placements
• Experience managing stroke patients
• Experience administering amiodarone and Cardizem drips

Preferred Skills: Candidates with the following qualifications will be prioritized:

• NIH certification

Additional Information

Dress Code: Scrub color for RNs is grey.

Weekend Requirements: Candidates must be available for 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule. Specifically, shifts may include Friday and Saturday nights or Saturday and Sunday days.
