Description
Job Description
A qualified Registered Nurse is needed to provide care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn settings. The average number of deliveries is approximately 40 per month, including an average of 6 C-sections. The nurse may be required to serve as a charge nurse after completing the necessary training.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care in a healthcare setting.
- American Heart Association certifications required:
- ACLS or ALSO
- BLS
- NRP
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (may substitute RNC-EFM for AWHONN FHM)
Shift Information
This position requires a 12-hour night shift, with flexibility to work day shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Holiday coverage is mandatory.
Additional Information
Traveling nurses are occasionally expected to float to other departments where they are qualified. This may include taking patient loads or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights or phones.
