Unit Information

This position is located in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) with 4 Operating Rooms (ORs) and 1 Endoscopy suite. The unit typically has a dedicated team consisting of full-time Registered Nurses (RNs) and Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs).

General Information

• Patient Ratios: To be determined based on the schedule.
• Type of Equipment: Stryker, Mako, Globus.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech.

Typical Hiring Profile

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of current operating room RN experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Total Joint procedures at a level 11 or 111.
• Experience using robotic surgical systems, such as DaVinci.

Typical Procedures Performed

• Ortho & Spine surgeries.
• Joint replacements and scrubbing.
• Laparoscopic procedures.

Unit Guidelines

On-call coverage is scheduled from Monday to Thursday, 5 PM to 6 AM, and is shared among the nursing staff. Typically, each nurse is on-call one night a week, potentially increasing to two nights based on PTO requests from other team members.
