Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Labor and Delivery unit. This position encompasses care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery settings. The unit consists of a 9 bed Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit with a dedicated operating room suite and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), as well as a 3 bed Nursery.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor and delivery.
Assist with patient recovery and newborn care in the postpartum period.
Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals including OB/Gyn, Family Medicine Obstetricians, Family Medicine Residents, and Certified Nurse Midwives.
Participate in the care of a diverse patient population, with an average of 35 deliveries per month.
Manage outpatient and OB emergency department cases with an average monthly volume of 100 encounters.

Qualifications

Must possess previous labor delivery experience.
Certification in BLS, ACLS, NRP, Stable, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required.
C-section circulator experience is preferred, but not required.
Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically TruBridge.

Work Environment

Scrubs will be provided for the OB unit, and staff are expected to adhere to the unit's dress code.
