Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position requires expertise in emergency care and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Shift Information

• Night Shift
• 36-48 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Assess patients' conditions, develop and implement care plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and maintain patient records using EPIC systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required at the time of hire.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required at the time of hire.
• Completion of Critical Care Course within 1 year of hire for critical care units.
• Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia and IV Sedation required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification required for relevant departments.
• IV Sedation competency within 6 months of hire for specific units.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an acute care facility.
• PICC competence for Interventional Radiology RN positions is preferred.
• CEN certification for Emergency Department RNs is preferred.

Location

This role is located in a dynamic environment within the city of Memphis, TN.
