Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The role involves working in a fast-paced inpatient observation unit near the Emergency Department, accommodating a variety of patient acuities ranging from lower to higher levels and including trauma overflow beds and mid holds.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Float to other areas of competency as required to meet patient care needs.
- Adhere to established protocols and guidelines to maintain high standards of care.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or similar acute care setting.
- Current certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification is preferred.
