Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team. This role focuses on providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As an ICU RN, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing critically ill patients, implementing care plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Shift

7 PM to 7 AM, every other week.

Duration

This position requires holiday coverage through January 9.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Utilize advanced nursing skills and knowledge to assess patient conditions and implement effective care strategies.
• Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in formulating patient care plans.
• Participate in floating to various departments as needed, including Emergency Department, Stepdown, and Med/Surg.
• Potentially float to other facilities in the region as required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Hampshire or a compact RN license.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of ICU experience; strong independent work ethic and varied patient care experience are essential.
• Experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, preferably Cerner.
• Ability to use advanced medical equipment such as balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella, and ICP monitoring.
• Willingness to adapt to floating requirements, including Behavioral Health, if needed.
