Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical team. This position requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and travel experience.

Job Details

• Unit: Medical-Surgical
• Shift: 12-hour Nights (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
• Holidays: Work integrated into permanent staff rotation

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• BLS Certification
• COVID Vaccine Required

Unit Information

• Bed Capacity: 30 beds
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1 to 5
• Monitoring: Must be able to read and interpret telemetry; dysrhythmia exam required
• Charge Nurse: Clinical supervisor will provide break relief and does not take patient assignments
• Nurse Aides: 2 on days, 1 on nights
• Common Patient Population: Medical patients and post-operative/surgical patients

Additional Notes

Floating may occur to telemetry units with a 1:4 ratio and between medical-surgical floors. Floor-specific orientation will be provided for one shift on the unit. The RN should be a team player and maintain a collaborative working relationship with peers and supervisors.
