Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on Telemetry for an upcoming contract position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedic and spine care, along with the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a telemetry setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a telemetry unit.
• Monitor patient vital signs, interpret telemetry readings, and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and care plans.
• Participate in unit orientation and training programs.
• Float to all acute care units as necessary based on patient care needs.

Schedule Details

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts from 1900 to 0730.
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, with a requirement to work every other weekend.
• Holiday Responsibilities: Must be available to work on Christmas Eve or Day and New Year’s Eve or Day based on unit needs.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Kansas RN or Compact RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Minimum of 18 months of nursing experience in a hospital setting, specifically in orthopedic and spine care.
• New graduates will not be considered for this position.

Orientation and Training

Orientation will include a combination of in-person and virtual training days, covering essential topics and systems, including Epic EMR training.

This is a nicotine-free facility. Adherence to facility policies and protocols is expected, including floating across various acute care units as required.
