This facility really cares about their staff and patients by giving RNs safe ratios. 5:1 is the highest it gets on tele, 4:1 PCU, and 2:1 or 1:1 in ICU. I got treated with respect here, and will absolutely come back.

He came along, mid through my contract. He belittles travelers, does not stick up for them, and claims he to used to be one. We all thought he would have some compassion and understanding for us travelers. But only talked about how he was going to get rid of us and replace us with permanent staff. Showed no appreciation for all the hard work done on such a short staff AND never helped out in the department when asked repeatedly or address any problems or concerns brought to his attention. Numerous complaints to his supervisor, but yet look who still there. ￼

Horrible SPD Manager

As a RN you are assigned to the Cath lab or IR with a monitor and a scrub.  In the Cath lab you will do 10 cases back to back with no relief and the RN is responsible for transport patient to and from procedure room.  You are always responsible for all 10 cases.  You are responsible for the patient during that time and dropping supplies, which are all pretty far from the patient.  The room is not set up optimally for patient safety.  If a patient needs medication or airway support or anything that differs from being a super stable sedated patient it is not safe for the patient or your RN license.
