Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (LDRP RN) to join our team. This position involves providing comprehensive care to patients in need of antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum support in a 12-bed LDRP unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 care for labor patients and 1:2-3 care for couplets, following AWHONN guidelines.
• Perform triage duties efficiently and confidently.
• Circulate and recover patients during C-Section procedures.
• Titrate drips, including Pitocin and Magnesium.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Participate in orientation for overflow mastectomy patients as needed.

Shift Details

This position requires night shifts with a commitment of 6-9 weekend shifts over a 6-week schedule. Flexibility is essential to accommodate scheduling needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in LDRP within the last 3 years.
• Current certifications required: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• Comfortable caring for patients across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages.
• Prior travel experience is preferred.

Unit Information

• Total L&D Beds: 12 Bed LDRP.
• One C-Section room available in unit.
• Approximately 300 births per year.
• Unit will occasionally take overflow mastectomy patients requiring brief stays.

Additional Information

All orientation will occur in state, with a combination of remote modules and on-site training. Candidates may be required to float within designated zones as a last resort only due to extreme needs.

Scrubs will be provided, and dress code is in accordance with hospital standards.
