Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our medical-surgical telemetry unit. This role involves providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to meet patient needs.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 28
• Staff Composition:
  • 1 Director
  • 1 Manager
  • 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC)
  • RNs
  • LVNs
  • Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
  • Unit Secretary (US)
• Day Shift Staffing: 1 CNC, 3 RNs, 3 LVNs, 3 PCTs, 1 US
• Night Shift Staffing: 1 CNC, 3 RNs, 3 LVNs, 3 PCTs
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
• Type of Equipment: Baxter IV pumps, SCD machines, glucometer, mobilab, Welch Allyn
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Current RN license
• Caring and compassionate behaviors

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Flexibility and dependability

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Telemetry monitoring
• Wound care

Required Certifications

Floating Areas

The RN may float to other medical-surgical telemetry units and assist in the Emergency Department for inpatient hold patients as needed.

Weekend Requirement

This position requires 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule for full-time employees. No on-call duty is required.
