Job Overview

The 7th Floor MS/Tele unit is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care in a telemetry environment. This position involves caring for patients with medical/surgical overflow and non-acute stroke conditions.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Telemetry
• Number of Beds: 32
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 (50%) and 5:1 (50%)
• Nurse Aide Ratios: Average 8:1 / 10:1
• Common Equipment: Bipap, High Flow
• Tele/Monitor Techs: Centralized Tele, RN’s validate Tele Strips

Schedule

This position primarily operates on the night shift, with self-scheduling opportunities and the possibility to fill open shifts. Weekend and holiday requirements are based on unit needs, with one winter and one summer holiday commitment required.

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry settings.
• Required Certifications: BLS Certification, NIHSS certification.
• Experience Required: Must have demonstrated EPIC experience.
• Skills: Ability to titrate drips, including insulin and pain medications.

Additional Information

The selected candidate will work within a highly functioning team known for its supportive and family-oriented environment. Orientation specific to the unit will be provided. There are potential floating requirements to other units as necessary.
