Job Description

The Interventional Radiology Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The nurse will work collaboratively with a close-knit team, ensuring patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures in the Interventional Radiology suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out physician orders, administer medications, and perform initial assessments.
• Develop and implement patient care plans, reviewing lab results and medical histories.
• Insert and remove intravenous lines, while overseeing patient safety.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, follow-up care, and discharge instructions.
• Assist IR techs during procedures as a circulator/scrub nurse when necessary.
• Participate in a call rotation for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida or hold appropriate compact licensure.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
• NIHSS Stroke Education Certification and a minimum of 1 year of critical care, ICU, or ER experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in Interventional Radiology.
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record system.
