General Information

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join a dedicated medical surgical/neuro unit. The unit features:

• Number of Beds: 20
• Patient Ratios: 6:1
• Staffing Support: Unit secretaries and techs available; tech support on both day and night shifts, unit secretary from 7 AM to 7 PM.
• Advanced Equipment: IV Pumps, Telemetry, SCDs, Continuous Pulse Ox Machines, Feeding Pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, iMobile communication technology.
• Documentation System: Meditech.
• Schedule Requirements: 3 shifts of 12 hours per week, including 2 weekends (4 shifts) within a 4-week period.
• Floating Policy: Contract labor is the first to float; staff will float by rotation if multiple contract labor staff are scheduled.

Patient Experience Requirements

Providing attentive and compassionate care to patients and their families is essential. Candidates are expected to conduct bedside shift reports, form personal connections with patients, and actively include patients and their families in their care plans.

Qualifications

We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience.
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask effectively.
• Skills in starting IVs, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes.
• Active RN license and BLS certification are required.
