Position Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) care. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients admitted to the Med Surg unit, ensuring their comfort and health throughout their stay.

Shifts

This role requires availability for the day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
• Coordinate patient care with the healthcare team, including physicians and other nursing staff.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their health and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Assist in the implementation of care plans tailored to individual patient needs.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical nursing environment.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
