Description
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Labor and Delivery to provide exceptional care to patients during the childbirth process. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring laboring patients, performing assessments, and providing immediate care to newborns after delivery.
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 12
- Patient Ratios: 1:2
- Unit Staffing: RNs, unit secretary, OR techs
- Equipment: Various specialized labor and delivery equipment
- Documentation System: CPN, Meditach
- Scheduling Requirements:
- 3 weekend shifts per month
- 1 call shift for RNs
- 2 call shifts for techs
- 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
- Floating Policy: Travelers float first
- Patient Experience Requirements: Shared decision making
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery
- Advanced Skills Required:
- Care of the laboring patient
- Care of the newborn immediately after delivery
- Circulating and recovering c-section patients
- Certifications Required:
- AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM
- ACLS
- BLS
- NRP
- Dress Code: Scrubs in Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray (not provided)
