Description
Position Overview
This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The role requires working daytime shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Location
Based in a facility located in City, State.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period.
- Monitor maternal and fetal health throughout the delivery process.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding prenatal and postnatal care, including infant care.
- Document all patient interactions and care provided in accordance with facility policies.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid RN license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with a focus on Labor and Delivery preferred.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
Schedule
This position involves a commitment to a set 13-week duration, with shifts scheduled from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
