Unit Information

This position is within a Progressive Care Neuro Trauma unit with the following characteristics:

• Number of Beds: 23
• Number of Staff: 9
• Staffing Model:
  • Day Shift: 6-7 RNs; 2 Aides
  • Night Shift: 6-7 RNs; 2 Aides
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Type of Equipment: Bedside monitors, End tidal O2 monitoring, high flow, chronic vents, Subdural drains
• Electronic Medical Record System: Meditech

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including:

• Monitoring and documenting patient conditions using bedside equipment and EMR.
• Administering medications and ensuring patient safety.
• Performing various procedures, including chest tubes and EEGs.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Required:
  • Telemetry experience
  • Step-down care experience
  • ACLS & BLS certifications
• Preferred:
  • Neuro experience
  • Trauma experience

Work Environment

This position includes floating to all inpatient units, including ICU and ED. The dress code entails professional scrubs with no specific color requirements. Staff are expected to work weekends every other week.
