Join a dynamic team on the 4th floor of our main hospital, where we provide exceptional care in a collaborative environment. Our unit specializes in a variety of medical and surgical patients, including telemetry, pre-post surgical, cardiac, respiratory, and GI cases.

Unit Details

• Number of Beds: 33
• Staffing:
  • Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 PCTs, 1 Unit Secretary
  • Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 PCTs
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Equipment: Bladder scanners, scales, vein finder, lift equipment, IV sonosite, iMobile devices for communication, computers in patient rooms, workstations on wheels
• Electronic Medical Record: Meditech
• Sponsor: None required
• Floating Requirement: Float throughout the hospital to care for medical/surgical patients based on needs
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in our fast-paced unit. The ideal candidate will possess a patient-centered mindset, be team-oriented, and demonstrate professionalism and accountability.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Active Texas RN License
• BLS Certification

Preferred Skills:

• ACLS Certification
• CPI/SAMA Training

Typical Procedures

Our unit provides care for a variety of medical/surgical patients, including but not limited to:

• Telemetry patients
• Pre-post surgical patients
• Cardiac patients
• Respiratory patients
• Gastrointestinal patients
