Description
General Information
This position is open to first-time travelers and requires no more than one year of experience. The work schedule operates on a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation from Thursday through Wednesday.
Shift Details
- Thursday: 1:30 PM - 2:00 AM
- Friday: 1:30 PM - 2:00 AM
- Saturday: 1:30 PM - 2:00 AM
- Sunday: 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
- Monday: 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
- Tuesday: 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
- Wednesday: 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
Patient Types
The technologist will handle inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department cases. During evening shifts, there will be a total of two CT Technologists present.
Patient Ratios
The patient-to-technologist ratio is maintained at 1:1.
Required Certifications
- ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
Required Skills
The following skills are essential for this position:
- CT Procedures: Head/Neck, Chest, Abdomen, Pelvis, Spine, Extremities
- CT Angiograms (CTAs)
- Drainage and Biopsy Procedures
- Brain Perfusions
Technology and Equipment
- EMR: Cerner
- PACS: Philips Enterprise
- GE CT Optima 660 64 Slice
- Contrast power injection system
Floating
No floating is required in this role.
Orientation
An orientation period of 1-2 shifts will be provided to ensure familiarity with the workplace.
Scheduling Details
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend as part of the 7 on/7 off schedule.
- Holiday expectations: Employees are expected to work one major and one minor seasonal holiday according to policy.
- Approval required for time off beyond 7 days; requests should be submitted via email.
