RN - ED

Location: Golden, Colorado Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Variable 12-hour shifts (3 x 12-hour shifts per week, 36 hours/week), including mids/nights and weekends

Role Summary

• Performs independent and delegated nursing functions under the state Board of Nursing's accepted practice standards.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care, including ongoing health data collection and assessment.
• Provides health teaching, health counseling, and supportive or restorative therapy and treatment, directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others.
• Executes delegated medical functions, refers patients for further evaluation or treatment, and reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
• Documents per hospital and regulatory guidelines and performs other assigned duties.
• May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need.
• May be required to be placed on call during a regularly scheduled shift.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
• Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year, with at least 1 year of ED experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
