Description
RN - Med/Surg
Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Shift: 3 x 12-hour days (0700-1930), 36 hours per week
- Weekends: 8 weekend shifts per 8-week schedule
- On-call: Optional. The source also notes the employee may be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
- Float: May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications, based on business need.
Responsibilities
- Performs independent and delegated nursing functions under state Board of Nursing standards
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care
- Performs health teaching and counseling
- Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans
- Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
Requirements
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school of nursing
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- 1+ years of Med Surg experience, with experience within the last year
- Experience with wound care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
