Xray Tech

Location: Rice Lake, Wisconsin Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Day, Evening Hours: 8 per day, 40 per week

Required Qualifications

• Certifications: ARRT, BLS (AHA)
• 1 year of X-ray experience

Department and Work Environment

• Department: X-Ray Tech
• Rooms: 3 in Outpatient (1 is also a fluoro room) and 2 in ED
• Coverage: Float coverage in ED, Inpatient, and Outpatient areas
• Duties: Patient care in ED, inpatient, and/or outpatient settings, portable work, and surgical cases
• Volume: About 80 scans/studies per day
• Equipment: Siemens/Fuji
• Systems: EMR: Cerner; PACS: Sectra
• Supervision: Lead Tech
• Radiologist coverage: On-site radiologist until 10 PM, then a remote radiologist overnight
• RRAs: Does not use Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs)
• IV starts: Not required to start IVs
• Call/standby: No call or standby requirement

Schedule

• Shift times: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, 6:30 AM–2:30 PM, or 1:30 PM–9:30 PM
• Always 1 X-ray and 1 CT tech in-house, except for the 7/70 overnight shift
• Weekends and holidays: rotation with staff
• Every 3rd weekend

Other Requirements

• Department-specific orientation: 1 week
• Scrubs: Not provided; no specified color
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• Submission note: State in the submission whether the clinician has ever worked for this facility. If they have, their end date there must be at least 6 months before the submission date.
