Position Overview

• Trauma Level: Level 4
• Beds: 9
• Patient Ratio: Approx. 1:5
• Patient Population: All ages
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Chest pain, abdominal pain, trauma
• Float Requirements: Within skillset
• Equipment: Baxter IV pumps, GE monitors

Schedule

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Shift: See details
• Weekend Hours: 12-hour shifts (Friday night and Saturday night), every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Orientation: Weekly, on Mondays

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience: Emergency Department (ED) experience of 2+ years, with ED experience within the last year
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
• Screenings: Complete and clear screenings before start. Candidates must be 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel.
• Background Clearances:

  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
  • Fingerprinting: FBI fingerprints completed within the last two years are accepted; otherwise, fingerprinting must be completed before clearance. PA fingerprints must be submitted before clearance.
  • PATCH (PA State Police) clearance is required. Volunteer clearances are not accepted.

• Scrub Colors: Grey, black, and/or blue
• Required: Scrubs and closed-toe shoes
• Unacceptable Attire: Anything other than scrubs and closed-toe shoes
