Description
RN - Med/Surg
Location: Miles City, Montana Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Night 12 (12 hours per day, 36 hours per week)
Job Summary
- Performs independent and delegated nursing functions under accepted practice standards set by the state Board of Nursing.
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care, and evaluates health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data.
- Performs health teaching and counseling, and provides supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others.
- Executes delegated medical functions, refers patients for further evaluation or treatment, and reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
- Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need.
- May be required to be placed on call during a regularly scheduled shift.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing.
- At least 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
