Description

RN - ED

Location: Miles City, Montana

Contract Length: 15 weeks

Shift: Night, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week

Job Summary

Performs independent and delegated nursing functions under accepted practice standards set by the state Board of Nursing.
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care, including ongoing health status assessment.
Performs health teaching, health counseling, and therapy and treatment, directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others.
Executes delegated medical functions, refers patients for further evaluation or treatment, and reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
Documents in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications, based on business need.
May be required to be placed on call during a regularly scheduled shift.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana.
Emergency Department (ED) experience of at least 1 year, with experience within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
