Description

Surgical Technologist - OR (Days)

Location: Bad Axe, Michigan Employment Type: Temporary Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 8 hours per day

Role Overview

Assists surgeons and other medical professionals in operating rooms and similar environments.
Prepares patients, rooms, and equipment for pending surgical procedures.
Assists during procedures as part of the surgical team.

Unit Details

Unit Size: 3 OR rooms and a Procedure Room
Staffing Ratio: 1:1
Dress Code: Hospital-provided scrubs
Coverage: Outpatient and inpatient surgeries for adults and children; the surgical team is available for emergency surgeries 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Surgical Specialties: Cancer, Ear, Nose & Throat, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynecological Surgery, Ophthalmological Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Podiatry Surgery, Urological Surgery

Required Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist with 2 years of experience
Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
BLS certification
NBSTSA or CST certification
