RN Hospice

Location: Brunswick, Maine Employment type: Travel Contract length: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Hospice experience (2 years)
• Hospice experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Schedule

• Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday (3 shifts per week)
• Week 1: Days, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, home visits
• Week 2: Nights, 4:30 PM to 8 AM, work from home, making and taking calls
• All hours are regular hours.
• Float requirements: None

Patient Load and Productivity

• Case manage 14 to 18 patients (based on acuity), with 5 to 6 visits (units) per day
• Minimum productivity of 25 units per week
• Unit counts: SOC = 2 units, Recert = 1 unit, DC = 1 unit

Patient Population

• Adult med surg, oncology, Cardiac, Neurological, Respiratory, Wound Care, GI, and GU patients

Equipment and Systems

• Agency laptop, iPhone with case and chargers, mouse, nursing supply bin, nursing bag with vital signs equipment, and agency bag (all returned upon departure)
• EMR: Epic (software familiarity, not a credential)
• In-home infusion pumps are used.

Role Details

• Must be able to successfully case manage and self-schedule patients.
• No ventilators.
• No invasive monitoring.

Dress Code

• Business casual or scrubs (any color)
• Not permitted: jeans, open-toed shoes, or clothing with holes
