Description
ICU - RN (Registered Nurse)
Location: Fergus Falls, Minnesota Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift Type: Days, Nights Hours: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Certifications
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
Unit Details
- Unit: ICU, 5 beds
- Staffing Ratio: 2 patients per RN
- Charge Nurse: None
- Nurse Aides: As needed
- Tele/Monitor Techs: Yes
- Floating: Med Surg
- Floor-Specific Orientation: 1-2 shifts
- Scrub Colors: Royal Blue for RNs, Steel Gray for CNAs
Schedule
- Shift Options: 8-hour or 12-hour shifts
- 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
- 3:00 PM-11:30 PM
- 11:00 PM-7:30 AM
- 7:00 AM-7:30 PM or 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (one note in the source says every third weekend)
- Holidays: 7 major holidays observed; you will work them per the schedule
Patient Care
- Common Diagnoses/Patient Types: Stroke (TPN administration), STEMI, non-STEMI
- Drips: Cardizem, Insulin, Propofol, Versed, Vasopressors
- Ventilators: Hamilton C-1
Support Services
- Respiratory Therapy: 24/7; RT leaves at 6 PM and is on call with a 10-minute response
- Pharmacy: 24/7; in house until 10 PM, remote after 10 PM
- Hospitalist/Intensivist: Hospitalist in house
