RN - ICU

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Position Type: New position (not a replacement) Unit: Adult Intensive Care Unit (30 beds) Openings: 2 positions (1.8 FTE)

Schedule

• Every Saturday and Sunday day shift, plus a third day during the week
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Call requirements: N/A

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience of 2 years
• ICU experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with ventilator management

Unit Details

• Patient ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3
• Patient types: Sepsis, respiratory failure, substance abuse disorders, endocrine disorders, psych disorders
• Equipment: Alaris pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV 1000
• Float requirements: Floating to other inpatient areas is required when the home unit is low census

First Day and Orientation

• Report to 3 East in the Tower building
• Park in employee parking (yellow-lined spots)
• Orientation includes modules completed on the first day, EMR training if needed, and one day of orientation on the unit
