XRay Tech

• Location: Bristol, Connecticut
• Job Title: Rad Tech
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Shift: Evenings. The source also lists 1st and 2nd shift, 11a-7:30p.
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• Holidays: Rotate in with permanent staff
• On Call or Standby: None

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Connecticut
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification
• Radiology Technologist experience within the last year, with at least 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel experience

Department Details

• Scanners/Rooms: 3
• Modalities and Duties: General, OR, FL, Portables
• Average Volume: 60 scans/studies per day
• Equipment: GE, Philips, Siemens
• Systems: Meditech (EMR) and Intellispace PACS
• Float Requirement: Does not float to other areas
• Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech: No
• RRAs (Registered Radiology Assistants): Does not use RRAs
• In-house Radiologist: Not 24/7
• IV Starts: Does not start IVs

Orientation and Dress Code

• Orientation: HR orientation is 1 day. Training and shadowing depend on the traveler and how quickly they learn the computer system.
• Dress Code: Scrubs are not provided. Purple tops and eggplant pants.
