Location: Mayfield, Kentucky Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Specialty: Critical Care

Position Details

• Floor: 2nd floor
• Unit Beds: 8 (ICU)
• Patient Ratio: 2:1
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
• Openings: 1
• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (Fri, Sat, Sun), alternating every other weekend
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Orientation: Weekly, on Mondays
• Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live 60 miles or more away to be considered for travel

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience: 2 years required, with ICU experience within the last year
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, Handle with Care
• All travelers must have required certifications prior to start. The client may require additional certifications not listed.
• Must-Have Skills/Experience: Fast paced, critical thinking, teamwork

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of critical care experience

Float Scope

• MedSurg, Behavioral Health

Common Diagnoses/Treatments

Respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, GI bleed, Afib RVR, CHF, chronic renal failure

Personality Fit

High energy, willing to take direction

Dress Code

• Any solid-color scrubs
• Not allowed: Crocs, Hey Dudes, t-shirts with logos, scrubs with cartoon characters

Facility Overview

Acute care hospital with 107 beds (all private), Joint Commission accredited. Services include a birthing center, a wound care center, and an accredited chest pain center.
