RN - Med Surg
Location: Athens, Tennessee Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week; 23 weekend hours Openings: 1
Unit Overview
- Unit: Medical/Surgical floor
- Specialty: Med/Surg
- Trauma Level: 3
- Facility Type: Acute care hospital offering emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatric patients; no pediatric patients
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Pneumonia, CVA, CP, post-surgical care, electrolyte imbalances, DVT, and others
- Patient Ratio: 6:1
- Census: Current maximum of 18 patients, with plans to increase to 24
- Equipment: Bladder scanner, glucometers, and other equipment
- Call Requirements: No
- Float Requirements: No
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 1 year of Med Surg experience
- Med Surg experience within the last year
Assignment Details
- Orientation: Bi-weekly on Mondays
- Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for this travel assignment.
